Jio IPO subscription status and your allotment chances
The issue was subscribed 22.19 times overall, with the strongest demand from institutions.
| Investor category | Times subscribed |
|---|---|
| Qualified institutional buyers (QIB) | 70.55x |
| Non-institutional investors (NII/HNI) | 14x |
| Retail investors | 2.72x |
| Overall | 22.19x |
The retail portion was booked 2.72 times. When retail demand exceeds the shares available, SEBI rules say each successful retail applicant gets at least one lot, and winners are picked by lottery. So applying for more lots does not raise your chance much; one application per PAN is what counts.
